Datuk Nik Mohd Hasyudeen Yusoff

Datuk Nik was the founding board member of the Audit Oversight Board (AOB), which supervises auditors of public interest entities in Malaysia when he was appointed as the Executive Chairman in 2010. In addition to this role, he was also the Executive Director of the Securities Commission Malaysia in charge of Market and Corporate Supervision. Before entering the regulatory arena, he was the Executive Chairman of Khairuddin, Hasyudeen & Razi, (KHR) a public accounting practice founded based on a merger in 1998 of three public accounting practices including my own firm which was established in 1992.

He was elected to the Council of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in 2000 and became the President of MIA from 2007 until 2009, and the Vice-President of the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (2008-2009) and a member of the Public Practice Advisory Committee of CPA Australia (2004-2010). Datuk Nik was the Chief Executive Officer of Lembaga Tabung Haji and currently the Independent Director of Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd and Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad.
