A. Admission
1. What is the timeline for applying postgraduate programs?
2. How will my application be evaluated?
Each application received is reviewed in depth by the Admission Board. We emphasise leadership potential, strong academic ability and personal qualities.
3. Does the reputation or history of my undergraduate institution affect my chances?
We admit a class that offers a variety of perspectives and consider individuals from a wide spectrum of academic and work experiences.
8. Can I still apply after the deadline?
Application deadlines are strictly enforced. Applications/supporting documents received after the deadline may not be considered.
10. When are admittance decisions made?
Applicants will be notified by email when a decision is available.
It takes one (1) month to process applications.
11. Will UMBS provide feedback for rejected applicants?
Due to the large number of applications, we cannot offer personalised feedback. The decision of the Admissions Board is final.
12. How long can I defer my acceptance?
Postponements and deferrals are rare and considered case-by-case. Kindly liaise with MRD.
14. What are you looking for in an applicant?
We consider applicants with diverse academic/professional backgrounds, leadership potential, strong academic ability, and management-level working experience.

4. What is the processing fee?
The processing fee for Malaysian is MYR 50.00 and International is USD 60.00.

6. What are the supporting documents needed for application?
● Photo (Passport Size with Blue Background)
● Malaysia NRIC / Passport
● SPM/MCE Certificate
● Educational Background (Certificate and Academic Transcript)
● TOEFL / IELTS Certificate (International Applicants)
● Working Experience Document (Offer Letter / EA Form)
● Financial Support (Scholarship Letter if any)
*Please provide English translations if certificates are not in English.*
7. Do you still grant conditional offer?
NO. Applicants are required to submit complete supporting documents stated in the MAYA Portal. Submissions with incomplete documents will not be processed and assessed.

All Postgraduate Programmes are Full Time.
Classes conducted:
• Master’s: Weekdays 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm
• DBA: Weekends 9.00 am – 5.00 pm

16. Where do students live?
Most postgraduate students rent housing near UM.
Housing is self-arranged.
Residential colleges prioritise undergraduate students.
17. What are my transportation options?
UM main campus is widely accessible via car, bicycle, shuttle bus and public transportation.
Having a car is not necessary due to the availability of subway and bus services.
