Kai Fernandez

Pursuing my MBA at Universiti Malaya has been a life changing journey that reshaped how I view leadership, learning, and global collaboration. The program not only strengthened my strategic and analytical capabilities but also empowered me to apply these insights directly to my career and personal growth.

A defining highlight of my MBA experience was participating in international exchange programs across six world class universities on four continents. I studied Business Administration and Management at ESSCA School of Management, Budapest (June–July 2022), Global Business Management at Chonnam National University, South Korea (September–December 2022), and Business Strategy Management at Hanyang University, South Korea (December 2022–January 2023). I further explored International Relations and Affairs at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil (July 2023) and University of Cambridge, United Kingdom (July 2024), culminating in a PPE Summer Programme in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford (August 2025). These experiences broadened my worldview, deepened my cultural intelligence, and strengthened my ability to lead across borders.

Equally impactful was the networking experience throughout the MBA. I had the privilege of working with high profile professionals, including executives, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, whose insights enriched my understanding of business and leadership.

Balancing full time work and postgraduate study was challenging, but the program’s flexibility, dedicated professors, and supportive classmates made the experience fulfilling. The MBA at Universiti Malaya truly transformed me into a globally minded, purpose driven professional ready to make meaningful impact.
