Universiti Malaya (UM) has once again demonstrated its academic excellence with a strong performance in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026.

The achievement was highlighted by a significant improvement in Education Studies, which entered the global Top 100. UM also recorded notable advancements across Arts & Humanities, Business & Economics, Law and Social Sciences.

UM also maintained strong global positions in key disciplines including Engineering, Medical & Health, Computer Science and Psychology.

This accomplishment reflects the collective dedication of the UM community in advancing teaching, research, innovation and global impact.
