Assalamualaikum and Greetings,

The Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya is organising a Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) Workshop aimed at strengthening participants’ understanding of evidence-based decision-making and project evaluation.

Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) is a systematic methodology used to evaluate projects, policies, and programmes by comparing expected costs and benefits in monetary terms. It provides a clear framework for identifying initiatives that maximise overall value and societal impact.

The workshop is designed to provide participants with the foundational knowledge, analytical skills, and practical tools required to conduct robust and defensible cost-benefit analyses across a range of policy and organisational contexts.
