Business education in the University of Malaya (UM) dates back to 1966 when the Faculty of Economics and Administration first offered business and accounting courses. In line with the increasing demand for accounting and business programmes, the Faculty of Business and Accountancy (FBA) was subsequently established in 1997 to focus on developing these programmes.
FBA strives to meet the challenges of preparing students to play a vital role in industry and nation building. The Faculty seeks to remain at the forefront of business and accounting education and continues to enjoy the reputation as an excellent knowledge-based institution.
