Business education in the University of Malaya (UM) dates back to 1966 when the Faculty of Economics and Administration first offered business and accounting courses. In line with the increasing demand for accounting and business programmes, the Faculty of Business and Accountancy (FBA) was subsequently established in 1997 to focus on developing these programmes. FBA strives to meet the challenges of preparing students to play a vital role in industry and nation building. FBA seeks to remain at the forefront of business and accounting education and continues to enjoy the reputation as an excellent knowledge-based institution.

Learning Outcomes of the programme
At the end of the BBA programme, graduates are able to:
• Acquire knowledge in various business disciplines
• Apply the knowledge in various functional business disciplines

• Show the ability to communicate, lead and work in a team
• Solve problems using the scientific approach

Obtained at least Grade B+ for Mathematics and pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least Band 3 in MUET
However, applicants who do not have MUET but have the following results may be considered for conditional offer by fulfilling the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:
• Obtained at least Band 4.5in IELTS (Academic)
or
• Obtained score of at least477 (PBT) / 153 (CBT) / 53 (IBT) in TOEFL.
and
Passed the interview.
OR
REQUIREMENT 2
Possess the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) with a minimum score of 35 points;
and
Obtained grade 5 (Higher Level) at the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) level in two (2) of the following subjects:
However, applicants who do not have MUET but have the following results may be considered for conditional offer by fulfilling the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:
• Obtained at least Band 4.5in IELTS (Academic)
or
• Obtained score of at least477 (PBT) / 153 (CBT) / 53 (IBT) in TOEFL.
and
Passed the interview.
OR
REQUIREMENT 3
Possess the Australian Matriculation Programme (AUSMAT) with a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) rank of 80 percent (%);
and
Obtained at least a score of 70% at the AUSMAT level in two (2) of the following subjects:
• Mathematics
• Business Management and Enterprise
• Economics
• Accounting and Finance
• Physics
• Chemistry
and
Obtained at least Band 3 in MUET
However, applicants who do not have MUET but have the following results may be considered for conditional offer by fulfilling the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:
• Obtained at least Band 4.5in IELTS (Academic)
or
• Obtained score of at least477 (PBT) / 153 (CBT) / 53 (IBT) in TOEFL.
